To verify your identity, we require the following:

1. Photo Identification

A clear, readable, valid and unaltered scanned colour copy or photo of one of the following documents:

• The front and back of your driving licence.
• The photo page of your passport.
• Front and back of your national ID card.

Alternatively, you can verify a credit or debit card in your Skrill account instead of sending a photo identification document. You can do this by clicking on Cards and Bank Accounts, then Add Credit or Debit Card. Please note that you will still need to send a Proof of address.

2. Proof of Address

A clear, valid and unaltered scanned colour copy or photo of one of the following documents, issued within the last 3 months, which clearly shows your name and address:

• An utility bill (electricity/gas/water, rent – no mobile phone)
• A bank statement (alternatively a Pdf copy of the bank statement downloaded from your online banking is also accepted)
• An address registration certificate, issued by the city or county authorities
• An official bank letter on headed paper, dated and signed by a bank employee, that confirms your full name and address

Skrill will debit a small, random amount from your card.

You will then need to find out from your bank or card issuer what the actual amount debited is, and confirm this amount in your Skrill account.

Depending on how quickly your bank or card issuer displays transactions on your account, and how you access your statements, this type of verification can take anything from a few seconds to a few days.
